Well, far too expensive for what it is, I understand that devs need support and to gain money with their games but come on :First, the game design based on hunger would be a fine idea if the gameplay was real great, which is not the case : these jumps OMG.You can't go back in a stage once you finished it.Many level design mistakes in these stages..The way the game make you lose weapons and pets is errr... meh. I'm not againt hard games, but I enjoy it when the gameplay and the level design make it satisfying. The arts are cheap, nothing special and some poor 2D drawings to make people think OMG it's like 2D old games so cool.However, there are things to do if you enjoyed the gameplay, the boss are quite fun (except with the ♥♥♥♥ing stone), and the music are enjoyable, and suits the game really well.So I would buy a new game from these devs because I want to support them, some great ideas are wasted by poor other ideas, but it's the last chance to convince me.. A fun retro styled game that reminds me (a little too much) of Adventure Island for the NES. If you know what that is, then you know what to expect here. If you don't know what that is, then go look it up on YouTube.. I think that this game has a lot of potential, get and controller gipping the only thing that is not so unique is the saving-the-princess theme but that is not something to think negatively about :P I recommend getting the game because even with 7 hours played it still has surprises!. Amazing old school platformer, love it!. It's a bit clunky to be quite honest.Little to no momentum in your jumps when you need it but at least the controls are responsive.The combat is bland but it's suitable for what the game is going for.However, the game has cool mechanics in my hot opinion even if the combat is lacking.The bosses aren't too bad if you have a weapon other than your default.Also, you can't go back to previous levels if you say, need a dino or a better weapon to beat that level you're stuck on.Final boss is almost impossible without items, so don't blow your load right before.7\/10. I played through quite a few levels until I got stuck on one by not being quick enough and not getting hit few enough times to make it from one piece of fruit to the next. The hunger mechanic really ruined the game for me, even on the levels I beat. It kind of took the fun away from what is a nice looking and intriguing game. If you think you can tolerate the hunger mechanic, then by all means, get it. I didn't care for it at all, though, so I have to give it a thumbs down, even on sale.. For game that's got a speedrun mode, it was very slow paced. Art style was decent, but it felt like they threw in pop references (eg caterpie) because they ran out of ideas. They didn't really add anything. Controls were clunky, and poor collision detection had me stuck on platform edges frustratingly often. The levels got boring and repetitive rather quickly. Food as both a health bar and timer was interesting, but overall the game was unenjoyable.
